Over the past three year, Emmaus Respite and Resource Center has been providing valuable services to individuals with disabilities. Our program has allowed our individuals to become an active and important part of our community. Every day, our clients come to our building in downtown Greenup to make an impact in their community. They engage in activities including volunteering at the Public Library, assisting at the local food pantry, visiting nursing homes, serving lunch to the community weekly, and preparing meals at Greenup Meals on Wheels. Our clients are making a difference in our community while learning valuable skills that enhance their own lives. We have been given many opportunities to be a part of our community. And now we have another amazing opportunity. We have been offered a matching gift challenge to raise $25,000 by Thanksgiving Now your donation will go twice as far! If we are able to raise $25,000, that amount will be matched to provide Emmaus $50,000 to expand and purchase a building on Main Street! This building offers over 6,000 square feet and would allow us to provide more service options to even more individuals for many years to come.
