Hello friends & family! We hope everyone is having an amazing summer. It’s been a trying summer for us & it is time to fill everyone in on what’s been going on with Deborah. To many people, DJ is your sister, your soror, your friend, but to Kameryn and I, she is our rock, the glue that holds everything together, our everything. Let’s go back to November 2024, it was the height of covid & a month after I was rushed into emergency surgery due to pulmonary embolism/ deep vein thrombosis, that my mom suffered a stroke. While many think she made a full recovery, it’s been quite the opposite & we have been silently dealing with the ramifications of this life changing health incident. For the last year, she has endured multiple “mini episodes” and had many hospital stays. Fast forward to 2024, my mom was diagnosed with Moyamoya Disease. There are arties in her brain that are now closed and her doctors have told us the only way to treat this awful disease is for her to have Cerebral Bypass surgery. In order for her to have this surgery, we must go to New York within the next 30 days. My mom needs this surgery for better prognosis and the unexpected financial burden this has placed on me is unbearable. It’s just the three of us! You know we live in Virginia, so transportation expenses, lodging, food, and the looming medical bills are now knocking down our door. We need your help please!
