Dear friends, family, and community members, I am reaching out to each of you with a hopeful plea for support during this extremely challenging time. We are currently facing a crisis regarding our vehicle and it's come to the end of its life some weeks back and I have been using my bosses car for work in which she needs back next week meaning I can't work. After pouring endless of dollars into our only means of transport over the past year; just to find it's going to cost potentially another $2000-3000 plus with no guarantee that will save our craptiva. Living on a near mountian, recent water shortages and with current fires that have been happening as of late it's a little unsettling in that aspect. We desperately need a source of transport for our daily living, to continue to pay rent keeping us housed, myself to work and for us to travel every 2wks to South Brisbane to see bubs. Additionally with car repairs over the past year, now paying $650pw rent alone and the financial strain of navigating through family court has only made matters further difficult to get ahead. As a resilient single mum, I work tirelessly to provide a stable home and maintain transportation for my children and their well-being. However, the current situation with increasing living expenses and 2x teenage growing children it can feel nearly impossible to get ahead (don't buy a Captiva peoples). My family court case to access custody of my youngest daughter who's 10yrs old; this legal process places a huge additional burden on my already strained finances; having to meet certain deadlines; regardless of my finances they do not facture these in when making orders. These expenses related to the court proceedings have now left no room for me to save for these further major car repairs needed Or to purchase another so we may have a reliable mode of transportation for our daily lives, work, school, travel and visits with bub. Despite my continuous efforts to attempt to save within my limited budget, opportunities have been scarce outside pouring what's left into already mentioned. Loans are unavailable as I've searched far n wide. This has put us in a hard position in our means of transportation but also losing our fortnightly visits with bub- a fear that haunts me, especially with no family support in Queensland. Right now we just need a little support; and it's really hard to ask for such things. Purchase of a Reliable vehicle on top of the sales profit if any of what can be utilised from our current broken vehicle providing us the opportunity to continue our fortnightly visits with bub and myself continue to fill my work duties to keep a roof over our heads.
