My name is Rob Dempster and I am fundraising for Elyssa Kicak. For over two years, 15-year-old Elyssa has battled an unseen and unexplainable force that has taken her ability to walk. Soon after, her days and nights were riddled with epileptic-type seizures. Her inability to walk and seizures have baffled doctors and hospitals such as UNC Chapel Hill, Wake Med, Duke Med, and Boston Children's Hospital. Although they have diagnosed her with Functional Neurologic Disorder, the treatment plan prescribed has had little effect in helping Elyssa walk again. One doctor from the U.K. recommended a clinic that specializes in FND located in Los Angeles, California. The tickets for Elyssa, her mom and her dad are very expensive, as you can imagine. The clinic is outpatient, which means they would have to have lodging for the duration of the treatment. They have spoken with the mother and father of another young lady who suffered from the same condition and after 10 weeks, they had her walking with some assistance. We are trying to raise money to help Eyllsa with her lodging and travel for the duration of her treatment. Please say a prayer for this family and if you feel so led, donate to help her receive this life-changing treatment.
