Dear friends, I'm fundraising to help pay for an electric wheelchair for my niece Hannah for her 20th birthday. Not your usual present for a 20-year-old but many of you know, Hannah has been suffering from hEDS (hypermobile Ehlers - Danlos Syndrome) for quite a few years now, it has ruined her life in so many ways. EDS is a life long condition and has no cure, it has been truly horrendous to watch the progression in Hannah's life. The intensity of the pain has now reduced her mobility to the point where she needs an electric wheelchair, she can't use a manual wheelchair as it causes her shoulders to dislocate which is what happens with EDS. We hoped that she would gain access to the NDIS and it would pay for an electric wheelchair but she has been rejected by the NDIS and yes, we are appealing but we don't know how long that will take and sometimes it takes years for some people to gain access. Hopefully that won't be the case but she needs the wheelchair now, it will give her so much more freedom and mobility to have a life with this terrible condition. Anyone who knows Hannah knows she is an absolute warrior and deals with excruciating pain on a daily basis. Any contribution no matter how small will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Anita.
