(Disponible en Inglés y Español) (English) Hello, my name is Elbymar Fraticelli, daughter of Elbita Cartagena. I am initiating this LFEBridge on behalf of my beautiful mother who on February 2024, was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer (Invasive Lobular Carcinoma). As a family we are actively engaged on getting the best treatment possible within our area. Fortunately, her treatment started soon after her diagnosis at Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa FL. However, concurrently with the diagnostic and just at the beginning of my mom’s treatment, we lost our father, and she lost her husband, on April 2024. Although this has been the hardest months for all of us, we are eternally thankful and grateful for the continuos help and support received from our family and friends which have not let us out of their sight through the hardships of this extensive and painful process. Elbita is almost halfway through her chemotherapy treatment, which started June 16th with 12 more rounds remaining. Followed by Radiation and Hormonal Therapy. The side effects of the treatments have not allowed her to return to work over an extended time and as a consequence she will lose health insurance coverage. We are confident that many people can be empathetic with our situation. If you are one of them and are willing to offer your support, we would sincerely appreciate your good heart towards us. Estoy iniciando este LFEBridge en nombre de mi hermosa madre, a la que en febrero de 2024 le diagnosticaron Cáncer de Mama en Estadío 3 (Cáncer de Seno Lobular Invasivo). Como familia, estamos comprometidos activamente con el mejor tratamiento posible en nuestra área. Afortunadamente, su tratamiento comenzó poco después de su diagnóstico en el Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa FL. Sin embargo, al mismo tiempo de obtener el diagnóstico y justo al comienzo del tratamiento de mi madre, perdimos a nuestro padre, y ella perdió a su amado esposo en Abril de 2024. Aunque estos han sido los meses más difíciles para nuestra familia, estamos eternamente agradecidos por la continua ayuda y el apoyo recibido de nuestra familia y amigos, quienes no nos han soltado de sus manos a través de las dificultades de este extenso y doloroso proceso. Elbita está casi a la mitad de su tratamiento de quimioterapia, que comenzó el 16 de junio y continúara con 12 rondas más. Seguido por Radiación y Terapia Hormonal. Los efectos secundarios de los tratamientos no le han permitido volver al trabajo y esto continuará durante un tiempo prolongado. Como consecuencia, mami perderá la cobertura del seguro médico. Estamos seguros de que muchas personas pueden sentir empatía con nuestra situación.
