Easton Update: We will be traveling to Memphis TN beginning of this week where Easton will begin proton radiation treatment at St Jude. We are looking at 6 weeks of radiation but will know more details once we get there. He has had a great week at a Levine Children’s Hospital doing rehabilitation as many of you know he has to learn all of his motor functions again including swallowing, using arms and legs, and talking..we have a long road ahead but each day he does a little more! We are so proud of our brave and strong boy! Baby Ellie also gets to go with us to Memphis so we are happy to be reunited as a family. Thank you all again for your continued support and prayers!!! Easton Coffer is just 2 years old and is facing the fight of his life. He recently was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor, Pediatric Ependymoma Cancer. Easton and his family need your prayers for strength, guidance, and complete healing. They need financial assistance to help with medical, travel, and living expenses as they continue treatment and care for Easton. Any help for Easton is greatly appreciated. Easton Coffer is the son of Jason and Laurie. In the picture you see Easton holding his newborn baby sister, Ellie. Ellie was born early on May 9, 2024 and was in NICU for 2.5 weeks. When the family was finally reunited at home, it should have been a time to celebrate Godś blessings but it was the beginning of struggles and challenges no family wants to have to deal with. On June 11th Easton turned 2 years old but because he showed signs of fatigue and pulling at his ears, he didn't really feel like celebrating. During the day his symptoms worsened and he began having nausea and balance issues. The next day he went to the doctor thinking he had a severe ear infection, but he was sent for tests that revealed he had a brain tumor. Three days later he had extensive brain surgery. Easton survived the surgery and remains in the hospital but everyday is difficult for his family. Easton does not understand and is scared. He is having to relearn to do all the things that he did before his brain operation. His only comfort is from being with his mom and dad who never leave Easton. His successful progression thus far is a result of answered prayers, his medical team and the love and devotion of his mom and dad. The tumor that the surgeons removed and tested was cancerous. The surgeons are now encouraging radiation treatment to destroy any cancer cells that remain. Decisions have to be made as to where to go to get the best cancer treatment and for physical therapy for Easton. Pray for wisdom and guidance for the medical team and his parents as they decide the next steps in Eastonś fight. Pray that Easton will get accepted into the best medical facility that can successfully treat him. Easton Cofferś family is overwhelmed and exhausted. Easton, Ellie, Jason and Laurie need your continued prayers! They appreciate every prayer. They know they are never alone. They feel the love that people they know and others whom they have never met have extended to them and their family. BLESS YOU! Jason and Laurie have been without an income since May 9th. They need financial assistance to help with medical, travel, and living expenses as they continue treatment and care for Easton. Any donation is greatly appreciated. THANK YOU!
