Hello Friends and Family of Doug and Beth, As many of you know, Doug and Beth are amazing people who love and support many of us in our lives. I have known Beth for over 20 years, and in that time she has dedicated her heart to the children of the world (through the African Children’s Choir, her work in France, through classrooms in the Bay Area) and to the children of her friends and family. While I haven’t known Doug as long, I see in him a devotion to family and the children in his life that shows me his heart for children aligns with Beth’s. Recently, these dear friends of mine received news that the only way for them to grow their family is through adoption. Having seen the beauty of adoption in others’ lives has always given them a sense of adopting as an option for expanding their own family, and they are now ready to begin the process of bringing a child into their home. However, adoption is a costly process and I am writing to you with the hope you will find it in your heart to help bring a child into Doug and Beth’s lives. To help them build the family they have always dreamed of, and to support them as they begin this heartfelt journey. Your donation will support them financially as they face the many costs involved with adoption, including funds needed for the adoption agency, home study and background checks, birth support and prenatal care for the birth mother, legal fees, travel to the place of birth, and other expenses that may arise throughout the adoption process. We all know it takes a village to raise a child, but sometimes it takes a village to bring a child into a loving home.
