My sweet niece, Dorothy Claflin (my sister Dottie’s daughter) and her partner, Rachel Ortiz experienced a very sorrowful Spring. Dorothy prematurely delivered twin girls on May 30th at Maine Medical Center in Portland. The babies had developed TTTS (Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome), a rare complication in identical twin pregnancies. Alora June lived two days and Willow Vee’s short life was thirteen days. Dorothy and Rachel are also loving parents to a healthy and happy two year old son, Holden Claflin. He continues to fill them love and purpose. The past few months have left the family exhausted, heartbroken and overwhelmed with medical bills. A donation of any amount would be appreciated to help them at this difficult time.
