Hi! My name is Avi Press, and I am the President of the Long Beach Wilson High School Graduating Class of 2010. I am on a mission to help throw the best class reunion in Wilson’s 97-year history. But I need your help. During the last few months, the reunion planning committee has sadly learned that many of our classmates cannot attend the reunion. But we can’t wait to see the 90 classmates who are coming! The planning committee has been hard at work for half a year ensuring this will be the perfect night. In fact, we used RSVP survey data from classmates to determine the event ticket cost, location, as well as headcount - which as of today is 50% less than what we expected. The challenge we face is having to meet the terms of our event contract with the venue regardless of how many tickets are sold. And I can tell you that no one realizes this challenge more than me as my credit card is on the contract. This is where we need your help. We have a $4,000 gap to fill before the event on August 19th from 5-8 at Hotel Maya in Long Beach. And every $1, $5, or $20 donation will make the difference. Your donations will help us: 1) Meet the contract costs for food, beverage, space rental, taxes, and service fees. 2) Pay the DJ (we really need a DJ) 3) Purchase decorations 4) and anything left over will repay the handful of people who have put forth hundreds of their dollars to secure the venue space. Yes, this is my candid plea for help. And I can promise you it will be the best night ever, we just need a few extra dollars to help us get there.
