Hi, my name is John-David and I am reaching out to the world for help in the neverending legal nightmare my ex is putting me through. In 2024, my ex decided to pack up and move 6 hours away with our son. My ex has withheld my son from me and has truly made my life a living hell. Travel expenses and legal fees have racked up tremendously while I have been fighting this injustice for over 2 years. Last year I prevailed when the case was finally heard at the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. Given the 6 hour difference between us, the judge's ruling gave me one week each month with my son in my hometown, with turnover happening in a favorable location to my ex (her drive is much shorter than mine); the judge realized what a bogus case this was and how much I adore and care for my son. After the JDR court hearing, my ex decided to retain a new, "bulldog" lawyer, appeal the JDR court's decision, try to take all time away from me with my son, and is now suing me for her legal fees. I never thought I would find myself on LFEBridge. I continue applying for second jobs, selling any/all extra possessions I may have, and selling plasma in order to pay for legal fees and travel expenses to see my son. Anything given will go towards filling the hole in my finances that seems to get larger and larger.
