HELP SUPPORT CHICAGO'S HOMELESS YOUTH BY GIVING TO TEEN LIVING PROGRAMS!We are Acility, an integrated facilities maintenance service provider based out of Chicago. From now until December 24th, we are partnering with Teen Living Programs (TLP) to raise awareness and donations to support the amazing work they do for Chicago's most vulnerable and at-risk youth who are experiencing homelessness. For over the past 40 years, TLP has worked solely with youth ages 14-24 to address their immediate needs and provide them with comprehensive, year-round services that address everything from emergency needs and housing to education, job readiness, and embracing a healthy lifestyle. TLP's vision is to create a world where all youth have a safe home, are valued, supported, and provided with everything they need to reach their full potential. They believe in letting each individual they work with be the driver of his or her own future, developing the skills and confidence necessary to transform into sustainable and healthy adults.Your donation will be used to help aid in this tranformation of our community's youth. Your financial support ensures that Teen Living Programs' mission and programs can continue. Each donation is used to provide an array of services, including the following:• Hot and healthy meals for clients at the Drop-In Center• Testing fees for young people to take the GED exam• Transportation to and from school or work • Welcome baskets (containing bedding, toiletries and other essentials) for new clients to TLP's transitional living programs• Winter coats and clothing items to clients they meet on the street• School supplies including a backpack, jump drive, notebooks and calculator for young people heading back to schoolAs we draw near to Thanksgiving, we ask you to consider giving what you can to Teen Living Programs. Each night, some 2,000 youths have nowhere to sleep and nowhere to call home.We have visited the residential housing of TLP and met with some of the youths who they are helping. These are survivors. Survivors of trauma, of abuse, and of abandonment. But each of them has an extraordinary spark of hope in them and an incredible ability to persevere that TLP has helped to ignite.Your donation will mean so much to these youths.
