Hi, my name is Rosie Wagner. My daughter Stephanie just found out she has a brain tumor growing inside the base of her skull. It’s likely a schwannoma, which is a nerve tumor that isn’t usually cancerous, but hers has grown quite enormous - it’s now pressing on her brain stem and causing hydrocephalus. This is resulting in headaches, severe hearing and vision loss, speech and cognitive issues, gait issues, and loss of motor control - even tasks like swallowing are becoming more challenging. The tumor will take 2 or 3 surgeries, each 12 plus hours long, to remove and multiple specialists: a neurosurgeon, a neuro-otolaryngologist, an otolaryngologist and an audiologist - practice saying those! Stephanie is a wonderful daughter, wife, mother and friend who spreads joy and laughter everywhere she goes. She served in the Army as a helicopter crew chief and now is a passionate home health nurse. Stephanie has fostered over 100 dogs, and regularly advocates to bring dog powered sports to pet owners, even though she has had to put these sports on hold due to her own failing health. Please consider helping her during this trying time. She is not able to drive anymore due to the effects of the tumor and will be out of work for probably 6 months or longer recovering from the surgeries. Doctors anticipate she will suffer residual effects for the rest of her life, including hearing loss and nerve damage to her face. On top of her medical expenses, she will not be able to pay her regular monthly bills. We truly thank everyone that has stepped up to help in so many ways, from driving to appointments, picking up the kids, taking care of the dogs, and more! And, thank you all for reading this, spreading the word, and helping in any way. Venmo: @stephanie-see-5 PayPal: @stephaniesee1
