The news that I need open heart surgery due to a genetic abnormality came as a surprise to me.... but here we are. As most of you know already I'm a single Mom raising two young kids, and a self-employed photographer. The surgery itself is going to cost $9,100.00 out of pocket before the insurance decuctible is met, followed by a 2-4 month recovery phase before I'll be able to return to work. I hate asking anyone for help, let alone money... but I find that the stress of the financial strains are nearly equal to the stress of the daunting physical recovery I'll need to go through. If you are in a position to give financial support, it will be SO deeply appreciated. Funds will go first to pay the co-pays for tests and the surgery itself, and then will help offset basic expenses until I'm able to return to work.
