Dear family and friends, The Sterenberg family are in need of some financial help. Rachel is having surgery on July 26th to figure out if she has endometriosis. She has had chronic debilitating pelvic pain for 3 years, and this surgery is likely to help provide relief, restore some of her quality of life, and enable her continue working. It will be a laparoscopic surgery with excision if they find endometriosis, and the recovery time is 6 weeks off of work. This will be Rachel’s 3rd surgery within a year, all for unrelated issues. As you can imagine, the medical costs and time off work has added up to a significant financial burden for the Sterenberg family. As many of you know, Rachel also struggles with severe depression; Her chronic pain adds significantly to this suffering. On top of medical bills for her physical issues, the Sterenberg’s have had to spend thousands on mental healthcare for the past 3 years. Rachel currently just finished a 2 month long treatment of TMS that was Monday-Friday. Combined with her physical pain, these treatments have drastically limited the amount she has been able to work. We are asking for financial assistance in hopes that it will give Rachel the ability to pay for her surgery, take the time off she needs to recover, and to help decrease the extreme financial stress the Sterenberg family has been under due to these circumstances. We appreciate your generosity and would be happy to provide you update on Rachel's progress. If you would like to reach out for an update or to offer encouragement please contact Michael or Gwen Sterenberg.
