Update 1/02/2024 - After many ultrasounds and different doctors, Jerry was given a not so hopeful prognosis. One doctor was ready to put him down just a few days ago, but I wanted to spend a few more days with him. I also knew there was still life in him. We went to get a second opinion with a surgeon who felt he would have an 80% survival rate. As of today we are taking that chance to get rid of his abscess and cystic fluid in his abdomen. The cost of surgery is around $7000. Please pray for his success, his recovery, and please again, share and donate if you can!! Update 12/28/2024: Thank you to everyone who donated and shared for Jerry's expenses. I was overwhelmed with gratitude that we were able to meet our goal. With your help, we were able to get the ultrasound. Unfortunately, it is not looking too good for Jerry and further tests and possible procedures must be done. Below are the results of the ultrasound from the radiologist that I just got back today. There is very likely a bile duct obstruction or blockage. To pinpoint how to exactly move forward with this assessment we will need a CT scan; this will tell us what solutions can be done, possibly surgery to remove the blockage. I have updated the goal expenses to $5000, this will help with atleast getting the CT scan. Please keep Jerry in your hearts and please continue to share his fundraiser - he is very sick and very uncomfortable. I am trying to make his day to day a little more comfortable but the more time that is wasted will have him at risk for his condition worsening. Thank you. Update: Hello all - I started this fundraiser for Jerry over the summer. (I left the original caption below) I didn’t share it because after having some medicine and supplements he began to feel better and recover. But unfortunately, lately, he isn’t doing too good. His jaundice has returned. He lost weight and isn’t eating as much. He’s starting to feel bony. We suspect there might be something wrong with his liver, it might be cancer. The only way to find out is with an ultrasound. Those of you who have known me know I am out of work right now and funds are almost nonexistent. I’m struggling on my own and I don’t really ask for help. But I can’t take any chances with Jerry. I’ll have to take him back to the vet. The last estimate given to me was approximately $1,139 for an ultrasound and other tests. I’m kindly asking for donations so we can get to the bottom of this. If you cannot donate please share. thank you so much. Hello, this fundraiser is for my cat, Jerry. Last week, he became sick. He was constantly vomiting. I took him to the vet and upon first look, we saw that he had jaundice, which is never a good sign. After the lab results came back, some of his liver enzymes were very high. To treat his liver, we would have to do more tests, including an ultrasound. With the ultrasound and other estimates, the bill would come out to be $1,139. His status now is that he seems to be doing better. It's possible that maybe he was exposed to something and it took a toll on his liver. But the worst case scenario is that it's something more serious - and I don't want to wait for another situation like this to happen again. So getting the ultrasound would get to the bottom of it and put me and everyone who loves Jerry at ease. Any little bit helps if you can - and share this, too. Thank you!!
