Dianne is in the hospital fighting kidney failure from Rhabdomyolysis (a serious medical condition that can be fatal or result in permanent disability. Rhabdo occurs when damaged muscle tissue releases its proteins and electrolytes into the blood.) She was first medevaced to Vancouver for her heart surgery in May and now in Prince George hospital due to adverse effects of a heart medication prescribed after the heart surgery. This drug caused the Rhabdomyolysis Dianne is now suffering from. It has literally poisoned her body causing serious damage to her kidneys and liver and has left her incapacitated and in severe pain. It is unknown at this time whether the effects of this drug has permanently damaged Dianne. As of now Dianne is unable to walk, stand or sit-up. She will have to do at least three months of physio in Vancouver and modify her home to add a chair lift. The costs of the hotel stays, travel for her husband, modifications to her home, physical therapy and extra medication is overwhelming for the retired couple. Dianne & Darryl are longtime residents of FSJ & have generously helped so many people. They would never dream of asking for help so I am doing it for them! We just want to see dear Momsie back on her feet and living her best life.
