At the tender age of 12, Leon Ellis, a student of the Hopewell High School was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Lukemia (cancer of the blood & bone marrow). Since his diagnosis, Leon has spent weeks in and out of the hospital, doing chemotherapy and other cancer treatment. Having struggled with this dreadful disease for three years, the doctors have now informed Leon's parents that Leon must have a bone marrow transplant done and this treatment is not offered in Jamaica. Leon's mom, a nail technician and his father, a young entrepreneur refuse to give up on their only son. With their backs against the wall, they are humbly seeking your help to cover Leon's medical expenses for the bone marrow transplant. Based on the estimates received, it will cost Leon's parents between US$750,000 - US1,000,000 and they do not have any local or international insurance coverage.
