I'm not sure how to go about this...I've never asked for anything in my life. But back in late July, my one and only forever man was hospitalized for four days with congestive heart failure. He has no insurance. The hospital bill alone was almost $50,000. We did get a break on that but it meant maxing out credit cards to pay the bill. The credit card bills remain. He was told to wear a LifeVest for a couple of months to the tune of another $7,000. Each subsequent visit (and there's been many) have been a minumum of $1,500 each. He will have insurance as of 11/1/15, but that does not help with the past bills. It will also mean almost $500 less each month in our paychecks (between my insurance and his). We've not been able to pay a single one yet. Without help from some caring people out there, we most likely will be forced to sell our home (which we only bought 2-1/2 years ago). There probably wouldn't be enough equity to even pay these bills. We are currently drowning in medical bills and don't know any other way out except for this fund. The picture is of him with one of our kitties. I can provide pictures of the bills if anyone wants me to. I just didn't want to put all that information out there.
