Hi, my name is Teresa and I'm fundraising for Don and Nikki Rademaker. I have been close friends with this wonderful couple for over 20 years.. With Nikki's permission I am sharing their story. On the morning of July 1, 2024, Don was driving his ATV and was unexpectedly struck by a pick-up truck. EMT’s arrived and he was air lifted to the nearest trauma center with life threatening injuries. Don had emergency surgery where surgeons removed his ruptured spleen, and repaired his injured arm. Due to the seriousness of his injuries he was sedated and placed on a ventilator in the ICU to allow his body time to heal. Don went in for another surgery the morning of July 2nd, where they performed surgery for 5 hours to fix his severely broken ribs, and repair his displaced small intestine. While Don is expected to be in the hospital for a prolonged period of time, before starting his long recovery at home, his wife, Nikki, is scheduled on July 13th to have a total knee replacement. This will leave both of them out of work for an unknown period of time. If you know Don and Nikki, then you know they are extremely hard workers who don’t ask for handouts, and are always there to help whenever needed. The next couple of months are going to be challenging for them. We are asking for any financial donations to help them out.
