Hi my name is Laurie Gautreaux and many of you know me thru the rescue world. Today I’m coming to you for a much different reason. On Friday my grandchildren lost their beautiful mother to the struggles of the world. Sadly she could no longer take the pain and decided to leave earth. She has 3 young children who were home at the time and found her. No child should ever have to experience such grief. Now these 3 beautiful kids will sadly grow up without a mother. My son lost his best friend and is now a single father. The pain that they are all going thru is devastating. I’m starting this fund to help him financially. Melissa was a stay at home mom so the kids will now have to start daycare. This is going to be a long road to heal and I want to help provide them with anything they might need. Derrick is a huge animal lover like me and works at FWACC north. Many of you have probably met him and didn’t know he was my son. He gives his all to his children and to the animals in his care. Please keep the children, my son, and Melissa’s family in your thoughts and prayers.
