The music industry lost a true legend to kidney and heart failure along with an aneurysm on October 21 2015. Deon Evans aka DJ Impossible was a great artist, well known to many. He was a helpful friend to upcoming artists who had doors shut on them due to industry insiders not believing they were good enough. Deon opened doors and made ways for 2Pac and Ne-Yo, two great hip hop and R&B artists whom he was blessed to help. The world and those who shut doors on them now know that Deon, DJ Impossible, made it possible. Deon was unemployed due to his failing health. He was in and out of the hospital fighting kidney failure, 27% heart failure, gout, high blood pressure and a host of other health issues. Deon passed away just 11 days after his 45th birthday. He is survived by his mother, two sons, two brothers, a twin sister, a host of neices and nephews.Even though Deon was known for his great work, he did not have life insurance. His family and friends are planning a home going celebration which will take place in Berkeley, California. The Evans Family requests donations to celebrate the contributions Berkeley’s own Deon Evans made to hip-hop and rhythm and blues over the years. The Deon Evans Home Going Celebration will take place at Berkeley High School in the Round Room on November 7th from 2pm to 5pm. Family and friends are welcome due to limited seating, please contact me via Facebook or message me here on LFEBridge to RSVP.
