Yes, sadly the rumors are true.  After 25 years, 4 months, and 6 days DC Jim Vignola has decided to retire from the Anchorage Fire Dept.  Jim joined the department in 1990 as a firefighter and worked his way up through the ranks to an Officer, Battalion Chief and to his current position as Deputy Chief.  He lived his childhood dream for becoming a fireman and has served the community and his AFD fire family well!  Now it's time for him to pursue other interests...Please join us for food and drinks on November 21 at 6m at the Alaska Native Heritage Center (8800 Heritage Center Drive) to thank Jim for his service and wish him well on his next adventure!  All funds raised will be put towards party expenses. Thank you for your contributions!
