Hi, my name is Whitney and my friend Daniela needs your help. In September 2024 Daniela, 29, began experiencing severe shoulder and arm pain which led to multiple trips to the ER, physical therapy, and visits to her primary care physician. Eventually, on November 3rd after many MRIs/CTs/Biopsies, Daniela was diagnosed with Stage 4 Triple Negative Metastatic Breast Cancer, which is the most aggressive form of Breast Cancer. Stage 4 Breast Cancer has no cure and is 100% Terminal. I’m lucky to call Daniela Martinez my best friend! We met at work 8yrs ago and instantly clicked. We couldn't be more opposite, yet so in-sync. So many people gravitate towards Daniela because of her kind, compassionate, and non-judgemental personality. Daniela has always been there for me; she’s the kind of friend you can call in the middle of the night. Daniela and her husband Jonathan have been together for 12 years. They are truly soulmates. They were blessed with their baby girl Salma in 2024. Salma embodies everything that her mom is: fun, sassy, cool and most importantly, kind. Daniela was born to be a mom- nothing could have come more natural to her. Being a mom to Salma has been her greatest joy. Daniela and her amazing husband live in Orlando. They regularly have to commute to Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa where she is treated by Dr.Kimberly Lee. The extensive radiation and chemotherapy treatments, along with many trips to the ER have left Daniela physically unable to care for her daughter. The chronic pain, stress, and harsh side effects make walking, bathing, and getting out of bed extremely difficult- but our girl is a fighter! Unfortunately, we have received the devastating news that Daniela’s cancer is no longer responding to treatment and has spread to her liver, kidneys, breast, lymph nodes, and bones. Doctors have told Daniela that she may have months to live and have recommended hospice care. In spite of all this, we will continue to fight. I’ve started this LFEBridge even though Daniela does not want to burden anyone with her struggles. But aside from prayers and sending positive vibes her way, the only way we can help our girl is by donating whatever we can to help alleviate some of this financial burden on the family. Your contributions will be used towards medical and travel bills, quality of life and planning for Salmas future. En septiembre de 2024, Daniela, de 29 años, comenzó a experimentar un dolor intenso en el hombro y el brazo, lo que la llevó a múltiples viajes a la sala de emergencias, terapia física y visitas a su médico de atención primaria. Finalmente, el 3 de noviembre, después de muchas resonancias magnéticas, tomografías computarizadas y biopsias, a Daniela se le diagnosticó cáncer de mama metastásico triple negativo en etapa 4, que es la forma más agresiva de cáncer de mama. El cáncer de mama en etapa 4 no tiene cura y es 100% terminal. ¡Tengo la suerte de llamar a Daniela Martínez mi mejor amiga! Nos conocimos en el trabajo hace 8 años e instantáneamente hicimos clic. No podríamos ser más opuestas, pero tan sincronizadas. Mucha gente se siente atraída por Daniela por su personalidad amable, compasiva y sin prejuicios. Daniela siempre ha estado ahí para mí; ella es el tipo de amiga a la que puedes llamar en medio de la noche. Daniela y su esposo Jonathan han estado juntos por 12 años. Son verdaderamente almas gemelas. Fueron bendecidos con su bebé Salma en 2024. Salma encarna todo lo que su madre es: divertida, atrevida, genial y, lo más importante, amable. Daniela nació para ser mamá, nada podría haber sido más natural para ella. Ser mamá de Salma ha sido su mayor alegría. Daniela y su increíble esposo viven en Orlando. Regularmente tienen que viajar al Moffitt Cancer Center en Tampa, donde la Dra. Kimberly Lee la trata. Los extensos tratamientos de radiación y quimioterapia, junto con muchos viajes a la sala de emergencias, han dejado a Daniela físicamente incapaz de cuidar a su hija. El dolor crónico, el estrés y los efectos secundarios severos hacen que caminar, bañarse y levantarse de la cama sea extremadamente difícil, ¡pero nuestra Daniela es una luchadora! Lamentablemente, hemos recibido la devastadora noticia de que el cáncer de Daniela ya no responde al tratamiento y se ha propagado a su hígado, riñones, mama, ganglios linfáticos y huesos. Los médicos le han dicho que es posible que le queden meses de vida y le han recomendado cuidados paliativos. A pesar de todo esto, seguiremos luchando. Empecé este LFEBridge aun cuando Daniela no quiere agobiar a nadie con sus luchas. Pero aparte de las oraciones y el envío de vibraciones positivas, la única forma en que podemos ayudarla es donando todo lo que podamos para ayudar a aliviar parte de esta carga financiera en la familia. Sus contribuciones se utilizarán para facturas médicas y de viaje, calidad de vida y planificación para el futuro de Salma.
