Hi everyone. This morning Daniel was chased by some lads in Jobstown. We don't know if they were chasing him because they know he's gay or for another reason, but there's so much homophobia in Ireland that Daniel got scared enough to try to get away. He tried to get away from them on an electric bike, when he turned around to see if they were still chasing him he crashed the bike. Daniel's broke his arm and needs surgery. He also shattered his phone when he fell. Last week Daniel broke his foot in three places. Because of these breaks Daniel is physically unable to work and the government is unwilling to help him. We hate asking for help, but we have a ton of medical bills heading our way, Daniel needs a new phone, and... we are just desperate. In order to put Daniel in a cast, they also had to cut off a sterling silver ring that Daniel recieved from his father before he passed away. Daniel hasn't taken the ring off in 14 years and is devestated that he's lost a piece of his father in this already frustrating and painful experience. We can't report anything to the police since no one actually touched Daniel. Besides, hate crime isn't actually illegal in Ireland.
