Hi my name is Madeline Brown and we are fundraising to help our friend and co-worker Dan Tollzien with medical expenses in Traverse City, Michigan. As many of you may know Dan Tollzien has been struggling with health issues for a very long time and those health issues have escalated over the past year with recurrent aspiration pneumonia. Dan has been in and out of the local hospital as well as hospitals downstate. He recently had a procedure where they placed a stent in his trachea hoping that would provide some relief for Dan. Unfortunately, he experienced many complications including respiratory failure with hypoxia. He was taken by ambulance last week to a hospital in Grand Rapids where they removed the stent. Since then, they are continuing to do additional testing in hopes to find a solution that may improve Dan’s quality of life. As of right now they have placed a feeding tube to provide necessary nutrients and allow his esophagus and trachea time to heal. Because of these health concerns Dan has been forced to miss a lot of time from work and has accumulated additional bills due to medical travel and expenses. Being the proud man that Dan is, he would never ask for help. He’s the one always doing what he can for others. Our work family has come forward asking how they can show Dan how much they care and support him during this difficult time. We’ve created this LFEBridge to relieve some of the financial stress and burden Dan is experiencing on top of his health concerns. We realize not everyone can donate at this time.
