Dear Friends & Family, I'm writing to share a deeply personal and heartbreaking story of a journey I have been working through with those closest to me. My best friend of 22 years, recently experienced a devastating loss - the stillbirth of her son, Noah. As their godparent and a witness to their indescribable grief, I have decided to embark on my own venture to honour Noah's memory. On Sunday, 8th October, I will be participating in the Royal Parks Half Marathon alongside her husband. This significant event not only presents a physical and emotional challenge for me but also serves as an opportunity to raise crucial funds for Tommy's, a charity that tirelessly works to fund vital research into miscarriage, stillbirth, and premature birth. Now, let me clarify one thing: I have never been the athletic type… Organized sports and physical activities have never been my forte as most of you will know. However, the importance of this cause and the overwhelming love I have for them both are pushing me far beyond my comfort zone. Running this half marathon is an act of solidarity, an act of love, and a heartfelt commitment to making a difference in the lives of others who face the same pain.
