Update! We've seen some shrinking of the lung and brain cancer from the last scan! We are so excited for some good news! The love and support she has received has helped to keep up the momentum of her fight, and keep her spirits up. We hope and pray to continue seeing improvement. The doctors have recommended to repeat treatments. We have no choice but to continue to ask for help and even ask for more help as some are not covered by insurance, her cancer costs, already criminal in my opinion, will rise to almost 10k per month with co-pays, meds, and non-covered treatments..... Hi, my name is Stefanie, I am asking for additional help for my sister Crystal's cancer medications. She has been fighting the good fight but the latest prognosis is not good. She has helped so many in her life recover from drug and alcohol addiction, it was so hard to watch her have to give up her career helping others due to cancer. She is still is a guiding force for recovering addicts and alcoholics. Even after being told she is terminally ill, she tells me she knows one thing she will not do. Drugs or alcohol. She denies narcotic pain prescriptions...Crystal is so just, and so determined to stay in recovery. She is my Shero. The bravest person I've ever known. If that isn't the best example of recovery and someone that deserves reciprocated help I don't know what is. I'm hoping friends and even strangers will feel the need to help as she has helped so many. Unfortunately her cancer care visits and medications are over $7400. A month. (It is disgusting the way the insurance co's deny care and meds and what they do and don't pay, I can't even...) anyway we feel like we are heart-sinking in so many ways, yet determined. My husband and I, and her aunt and uncle help financially, and with all the love we have.
