Craig was diagnosed in November 2018 with an inoperable arteriovenus malformation (AVM) in his brain, and epilepsy. AVM is an abnormal tangle of blood vessels connecting arteries and veins, which disrupts normal blood flow and oxygen circulation. Arteries are responsible for taking oxygen-rich blood from the heart to the brain. Veins carry the oxygen-depleted blood back to the lungs and heart. If the AVM is in the brain and ruptures, it can cause a brain hemorrhage, stroke, or brain damage. This causes Craig to suffer seizures and other symptoms on a daily basis, and has resulted in financial hardship due to medical bills and excessive loss of work. Due to this, he is in danger of losing his house and his car. Within the last 6 months, his condition has worsened, even though the doctors have doubled the dosage of his medication. He suffers violent seizures, even in his sleep, twitches uncontrollably, and vomits on a daily basis. Craig has applied for social security disability, but it is a long process and even if he gets approved, the payments won't be near what he had been making when he was able to work. Craig is an upbeat, hardworking, and compassionate person, and devoted father, son, and brother, who has been trying to keep a positive attitude since his diagnosis. As time goes on and his symptoms get more severe, and his financial situation becomes more dire, he has become overwhelmed. We are organizing this fundraiser to collect donations to help relieve his financial burden as he is unable to work. Your donation would be greatly appreciated.
