As much as I do not like to ask for help, unfortunately it has come to this. My husband and I have had to take the week off of work to be with our daughter at UC Davis. She has ITTP causing her blood to not be able to clot. She has had medication infusions and more blood pulled to see if it is helping. We will have to bring our baby girl to UC Davis every two weeks, for up to a year, to continue to get these medication‘s. This is a life threatening illness and we will not leave our baby’s side. As of now, we have no idea when her body will allow her platelets to work properly and do not know when we will be able to go home. She is currently a “fall risk” and has to be extremely careful when playing. If something was to happen, she will have a great amount of blood loss. Due to all of this, we have had to take time off work, pay for a dog sitter, parking fees, and pay for many extra costs including gas, food, and medications. This has brought our family back financially much more than expected. Anything donated is very much appreciated. Thank you for reading. Update: Our baby’s medications are not completely covered by insurance and we are looking at over $3,000 for the important medications needed to go home. I am re-publishing this, I had no idea these expenses would not be covered. Thank you everyone for your support.
