Hi I’m Dana Clewley, Madison’s oldest sister! I’m fundraising on behalf of my mom and dad to help pay for expenses for my sister and my parents. Madison Lee Cemer, my baby sister was in a horrible car accident on Saturday July 29th in the afternoon. Her, our baby sister and two of their friends were on their way home from school shopping when they lost control of the vehicle on a wet rainy road just a few miles from home, causing the vehicle to roll over a couple times. Our baby sister Emily and their friend who was the driver thankfully had their seatbelts on and only experienced minor/minimal injuries and were able to leave the hospital the same night. But Madison and their other friend were in the back seat and had much more damage. Maddie is currently in the ICU with several spinal injuries and without feeling in her legs and lower body. She had to have emergency surgery to relieve the pressure off of her spine to prevent permanent damage. But she has been in for a few days and progress is moving very slow. There is a 50/50 chance at this point that she may never walk normal again and could possibly be wheelchair bound. We have a strong faith and we are hoping she will start to progress, but we are also looking at the other side of things if she doesn’t. Maddie is going to have to miss her first few weeks or even first few months of her senior year of high school in extreme rehabilitation that may end up being out of pocket. I’m asking for financial help as my parents are both having to miss work to be with her. She will be in the hospital at minimum 10 days but without any progress it could be several weeks. My mom and dad are having to make several trips home to care for the house and our baby sister and to feed their animals. Lots of gas and food and bills still coming in. If you have ever met my parents you know they are the most selfless, helpful people and they would never ask for a dime but I did get mom’s approval and I’m asking for help for them. They have helped many people in the community for many different things , so now I’m asking for help for them. And Extra prayers for my sister to continue to heal. We appreciate any and all donations. They won’t fix Maddie but it would take a little weight off of our parents worries. ❤️ *** hello!
