Friends, Family and Fellow Colby Lovers,As some of you know, our dear friend Colby has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Over the last several years we have been witness to this amazing woman facing some of life's hardest challenges. Through it all, she is constantly compassionate, giving, kind and amazingly positive in the face of some of the most trying circumstances. She would never ask for your help, so I am instead! Colby has been attending school for the last year and is currently supporting herself and her children on student loans. In the coming weeks she is facing surgery, genetic testing, oncology appointments, possible chemo and/or radiation - all while being a loving mother to her two little humans and writing final exams. How she juggles any one of these roles with such grace is beyond me.When people we love have a very large hand dealt to them, it can be difficult to know how best to help in a tangible way. We cannot take away the burden of this scary time, we cannot share the responsibility of raising her children and I sure as hell cannot write her final exams. But what we can do is perhaps take away some of the financial stress that comes in times like these so she can focus on KICKING CANCER IN THE PANTS! On Colby's behalf, I would like to thank everyone who has been there for her along the way and all of those who choose to help at this time. Your kindness is life changing and goes straight to the heart. Please think positive thoughts and get ready to have a serious party at the end of all of this!!!
