Hello everyone - My name is Chelsea and I am creating this gofund me for my grandfather who lost everything to a house fire on Thursday. On Thursday, Larry Coates was in his garage when a car passed by and told him that she saw smoke coming out of the house. Within an hour, he had completely lost everything. The house burned to the ground. More than just stuff, this has been the family home for 55 years. Everything is gone. The greatest loss being all of his late wife’s belongings. As you can imagine, losing everything in your 80’s is unfathomable. Larry has worked hard his entire life and lived off of social security. As you know, that is not enough to survive on. Unfortunately, he was unable to afford his annual homeowners insurance. That news only makes this loss harder. Larry was not the only one to lose everything. His two sons, Andy and Jesse, Andy’s girlfriend, and their 8 year old daughter, Bella, lived with Larry and lost everything. Our goal with this fundraiser is to rally the community to help our family rebuild. Whether we rebuild his home, a tiny house, or just rebuild his spirit, we are relying on our family and community to step in. We are seeking donations of all kinds! There was nothing to salvage in the home. Clothes, school supplies, and basic personal care items are the immediate need. Thank you for all of your prayers and kind words.
