Many of you know Jerry Germain as your football coach, friend, family member, coworker etc. I know him as my grandpa and my best friend. He has been battling colon cancer & multiple myeloma for about 5 years now and throughout those years he has still ran his family amusement business every summer. I'm sure this doesn't surprise any of you, as you know how hard headed and strong this man is. The drive and willingness he has is second to none and battling cancer for 5 years at the age of 74 is unlikely heard of. As you can imagine the medical expenses and cost of treatment is very expensive and the amusement business and insurance has really ate a hole out of my grandparent's pockets. My grandpa is not a man to ask for anything, he takes pride in his indepenence. But I know throughout the years as a coach and friend to many, he not only taught the game of football, but cared for his players and taught life skills that have stuck with many since. How can we ever thank him for that? The money that I am asking for my grandpa will help Jerry & Linda Germain pay for medications, bills during the winter & costs that remain from the amusement business. I plan on presenting the money around the second week of December as an early Christmas present. For those of you that would like to donate to Coach Germain, if you would like to add a special message along with your donation I plan on making a scrapbook with pictures and quotes from each person who has donated - just telling him to keep kicking on. This money will not only help my grandparent's out tremendously, but I believe will give my grandpa an extra spark to keep fighting. I will be forever grateful to those who donate & I'm sure Coach Germain will be too. Thank you for taking the time out to read this. I appreciate anything and everything you do for my grandpa.
