On the 19th of August we will hold the inaugural Clan na Gael Lurgan CLG Dads & Lads Charity Football Tournament. This event is being held to commemorate and remember three clubmen who lost their lives during the COVID-19 period, Oliver Crewe, Terry McCaugherty & Paul Cardwell. Three men who were passionate about the GAA and their club. Three men who did not receive the sendoff they so deserved because of COVID-19 restrictions. This event will allow family, friends, and colleagues to come together to remember and more importantly celebrate their lives through their key passions, GAA & their club. This tournament will see 12 teams from across Ireland come together to compete for one of three cups (one to honour Oliver, Terry & Paul). This is a charity fundraiser with all funds raised going towards 3 charities that supported Oliver, Terry & Paul during their struggles with ill health in their later years. The chosen charities are: • The Birches Alzheimer’s Day Care Centre Dundalk • Parkinson’s UK • Action Cancer N.I If you can't make it along to the tournament or simply want to contribute towards this fundraiser any amount donated is greatly appreciated. All of the families and the club are honoured to be able to mark these men's lives and raise funds for these key charities at the same time. Thank you for your generosity and kindness
