CLAY WILL HAVE SURGERY THE WEEK OF 9/25. Please add your prayers to any donations or sharing of this Go Fund Me. We are so grateful for all the donations, well wishes, and shares but we need more! The costs of Clay unable to work and moving back and forth between Idaho and Arizona have mounted. He is literally doing eveyrthing he can to raise money including selling his beloved truck. PLEASE SHARE!!! And PLEASE EVEN A $5 DONATION will make a huge difference! All Clayton DeMond has ever wanted to do is serve his country and be a good husband and father. At 22 he joined the Army National Guard, training as a linguist and graduating from the Defense Language Institute. At 28 he met his true love Kelsey, and just last September they were married and he became the very proud stepfather to two beautiful girls. All his dreams were coming true. At the beginning of 2024, Clay began suffering some serious ailments that were attributed by those around him and medical personnel as debilitating depression and anxiety. On July 17, after suffering for months, Clay was rushed to the hospital after a seizure and was diagnosed with an Astrocytoma Brain Tumor grade 3 or 4 (pending final pathology). This is a terminal disease with a life expectancy of less than 2 years. Clayton has not been able to work since January and will probably never be able to work again. His future in the military is most likely going to be a medical discharge. He has not had medical insurance since January and treatment will be extensive and astronomically expensive. Doctors at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale Arizona are hopeful that Clayton may be a candidate for surgery but it won't be a cure - just a hope to prolong his life and let him have some time to be the husband and father Kelsey and the girls deserve. If we all give a little it will add up to a lot for Clayton and his family at this very stressful time. No amount is too small. Prayers and good wishes are also appreciated.
