Once in a while you meet someone extraordinary. Someone who without questions goes above and beyond for others. Someone who puts a smile on the faces of those they encounter. Someone who is full of life, passion and kindness. For us, this person is our dear friend, sister, daughter, wife, mother and loved one, Claudia Luna. My sister Claudia was diagnosed with an incurable chronic auto immune disease called Sjogren's Syndrome and stage II Malt Lymphoma cancer. She had a malignant tumor removed on May 26, 2015. This Summer, she survived radiation and the brutal side effects that came with the treatments. This ordeal has been extremely painful for Claudia and a test of her strength, courage and determination to beat cancer. Of all people, cancer picked the wrong woman! Claudia's fight has not been easy. I have watched her deal with painful procedures, new scars , tears and pain transform her into a different person. She dealt with it the only way she knew how to - HEAD ON! Through the surgery, radiation, and all her medications, we are optimistic Claudia will beat this terrible disease for good and soon will be in remission and live a long life. Unfortunately, this fight for life has left the Luna Family's finances in dire straits. The share of cost for Claudia's treatments has left them with significant medical bills. I want to be able to support my sister and her family with fundraising in an effort to relieve some of their financial burden. In the past, Claudia has helped me as well as other friends and family when she knew they had a need. I feel this is a great opportunity to show our sister and friend our love and support in her time of need. Since Claudia would never ask for anything for herself, we need to let her know that she is not alone .
