I am writing on behalf of the teachers and students at our elementary school in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Last year, we raised money to buy every student and teacher in the fourth grade a "Fourth Grade Academy - Class of 2027" t-shirt to improve school spirit and school pride. And it worked! Students LOVED their purple t-shirts and wore them on state testing (MCAS) days, field trips days, and dress down days...(and even on days when they were supposed to be in their white uniform shirts...). A huge THANK YOU to everyone who donated last year!! You truly made a difference for our kids. This year's fourth graders keep asking me, "When are we getting the purple t-shirts?? When are we getting our 'Class of 2028' t-shirts??" and I keep telling them, "We're workin' on it!" They are clearly excited to show off their purple pride and broadcast their college graduation year to the world, which is fantastic. While t-shirts may seem trivial, the "Class of 2028" on the back sends a powerful message. Our kids are hard-working, intelligent, and have a college graduation date in mind. This is huge! This year we are also hoping to get shirts for our current third graders, the Class of 2029. These shirts will be green (Third Grade Academy's color). Every little donation helps, and if you donate $100 or more I'll send you a t-shirt in your size!Thank you for considering donating to the cause!
