This fundraiser has been created on behalf of Christina DeSorte Madden to help her with her current cancer treatment bills, and any of the ongoing medical tests, procedures, and treatments that she is currently having to go through. Christina was recently diagnosed with Endometrial cancer, which was found after doing a biopsy of a cyst that doctors had found attached to her uterous. Because of this cancerous tumor and cyst, she is having to go undergo surgery to remove this and any of the effected areas during this surgical procedure. Also, while in the process of going through this ordeal, and going through her examinations, it was discovered during their tests, that she also had a very large abscess in her bowel or colon area. And she had to have this drained out and treated, along with being treated for an infection that had developed because of this painful abscess. Plus, in addition to all of this, we were told that she will have to now undergo something called a bowel resectioning. Im not really sure if this is being done because of the blockage from the abcess, or for a separate issue that they have found while doing their examinations. These are alot of lengthy procedures that Christina is having to endure, and she is looking at a few months of painful recovery for all of these issues. Christina lives with her retired mother who is on a very limited social security fixed income, and a mentally disabled brother who cannot work. They were barely able to make ends meet BEFORE this ordeal came about. And Christina has no savings for any kind of medical emergencies such as these. And now with Christina being forced out of work and being stuck in hospital for an unknown period of weeks. She will not have ANY money to cover any of these needed operations and medical procedures and tests that she has to have done. Plus even when she finally gets out of hospital, she is looking at a very lengthy time dealing with cancer treatments and countless follow-up tests/procedures while recovering. Christina does not have any money to cover any of these needed operations and procedures that she is having to get done. Nor for any of the bills that are already starting to pile up because of this. And we are asking for any help that you can provide for our loved one who is in need of our help during this very difficult time.
