Hi, my name is Christian Rogers and i am a full time Vintage reseller for about 7 years. On July 7, 2024 i was vending at the 59th St Market located at the Los Angeles Apparel Warehouse. Just before 7pm gunshots were fired and i tripped on a large piece of metal on the ground and crushed my foot under me. After being in the ER all night i was told i had fractured my foot, put in a cast and ordered to be off it until further notice from the orthopedic surgeons. From 7pm-10pm (the new market closing time) i sat with a broken foot, offered no medical attention from event staff or help to pack up and leave early. The basis of my job requires me to be on my feet to source, and set up shop at local markets. I am my sole proprietor and am out of work from this injury making it impossible to pay my essential bills and medical expenses. As it pains me to do so I am asking for help from my community to get through this next month. Any donation helps and is greatly appreciated.
