Hi, my name is Dawn and I am trying to help my friend meet all the medical and living expenses while she is out for chemo treatments. Christi is a Publix asst bakery manager and I have come to respect and admire her as a mother and a leader. She has exhausted her sick time and vacation and is now suffering severe reactions to her treatment. Christi is a loving mother, wife and friend to many, a woman of intense faith and trust in the Lord, but her struggles have been many and now she needs our help. To start Christi is married to a wonderful man, Jack, who got dealt a horrible hand of fare. In 2010 Jack was diagnosed with Nocardi, a rare disease that attacks the brain. It put him in a coma and he was given a 10% chance of survival. To this day the scar tissue from the emergency surgery has caused chronic seizures, then in 2019, he was diagnosed with dementia. He is unable to work and requires round-the-clock care. Facing this Christi continued to raise their 3 children, trust in God and grow with Publix, being the only source of income. Fast forward to 2024 when a routine colonoscopy detected stage 3 cancer for Christi. Even with this she came to work and smiled saying "I've got this and" trusting that all would be ok, she always just keeps going. But then the chemo started and knocked her for a loop. It makes her so sick she can not eat, or sleep and is unable to work. Meanwhile, Jack still needs his weekly doctor's appointments with his neurologist. Their children do what they can to help but the medical bills and living expenses are piling up. (Christi has used up all her sick time and vacation for her resectioning of the colon)...And still, she tries to be that ray of sunshine. Please help where you can, either financially or by sharing the word. She is not just a co-worker, she is like family, near and dear to us and we all want to help. I thank you in advance for anything you can do as well!
