The guy we love and adore has been diagnosed with AML leukemia. After not feeling well on a family vacation in Mexico and having some mouth sores Chris went to Urgent Care (once back in US). It was there that his white blood cell count was determined high and he was told to go to Scripps Green where additional testing could be done. He is currently in-patient at Scripps Green (with a view of Torrey Pines golf course) getting incredible care. It looks as though he will be in-patient for 3 weeks of chemotherapy. Chris will undergo a Bone Marrow Transplant down the road, this will load him up with healthy stem cells and kick that cancer outta here for good! After much reluctance and "no thank you's" Jenny and Chris agreed to this site. When you have this many people that love you, this many people that want to help, and this many people praying and willing to do anything for your family it takes some organization. This page will be not just a Go Fund Me, but also a place you can visit for updates and pictures. Sometimes it will be a family friend writing, sometimes it will be Chris. The reason we chose this site is primarily for prayers, and words of encouragement-these emotional components are genuinely so important to Chris and Jenny. The great news is that his body is responding well to the treatment! Tessa and Maci have been many times to see their dad for a guitar jam session, Taylor Swift bracelet-making, or just to love on their dad. Jenny continues to be a champ, hustling and doing all the things-she's a stud! Chris is likely the favorite patient as he's full of smiles and "thank you's" for anyone that is helping him. He's feeling really good, going on walks and even today requested tacos! He sports a disco ball on his IV pole and jams to music to keep his spirits up, he's amazing! Chris and Jenny don't have the words to express how thankful they are to everyone wanting to help. They have done this for so many and now it's our turn to take care of this precious family. HOW CAN YOU HELP? Our favorite question! While we know it's tempting to stop by the Wolfe's for a hug or to drop off a meal - this is a tricky time. Downtime and family time is so important, Jenny is keeping things as normal and predictable as possible at home. These needs might shift, we'll update this site if that's the case. Also please keep in mind that little germs are a BIG deal for this family right now. We don't want any sniffle, cough or stomach bug getting to their family. Thanks for your understanding with this. Please donate whatever you feel is right for you and your family. This is a marathon battle for the Wolfe Family. We want them to pay any medical bill without worry, to order food at the hospital or grocery delivery to save hassle for Jenny, and we'd like to help with cleaning expenses at the house...truly, honestly, we just want to provide the resources to say "we got you" during this time. Jenny and Chris are doing their gosh darn best at texting back friends who are lovingly checking in. BUT they need their downtime, so if you send a message and don't hear back, or call and don't get an answer it's just because they are getting some time together or just don't have time for a chat/message. We need Chris to save his strength for visits with his girls and his healing. Jenny has a great start to her dinner delivery funds but we know more can always be given. Things like Grub Hub, Uber Eats and Postmates are also so very helpful (maybe even some Starbucks would be great). Chris Wolfe being one of the nicest people ever to exist wanted this to be clearly communicated - any of the funds raised that they don't need will be donated to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Ready...set....go! Pass this link on! WOLFESTRONG!
