My name is Chris Knapp.  I was born in Vietnam in 1967 and was fortunate to be adopted by the Knapps in 1974.I grew up in upstate New York and attended grammar school and high school in Sidney, NY.  I moved to Hampton, VA for a year after graduation high school in 1986.  In 1988, I relocated to Fort Lauderdale, where I have lived, worked and been active in the LGBT community ever since.I am lucky to be a part of the Village Pub family on Wilton Drive in Wilton Manors since they opened their doors in 2012.In September, 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 throat cancer.  The news has been devastating.  My treatment will include radiation and chemotherapy.  I am lucky to have a great group of friends who continue to support me.  But the treatments are very costly, as will be my recuperation.Thank you for your support and I look forward to beating cancer and seeing you all back on the Drive very soon.Chris
