Hi, my name is Holly Bell (Brozi) many through the years know me as Chef Bell (Brozi). I taught Culinary Arts to high schoolers at Key West High and in Greenville SC. Starting and running those two career tech programs was a HUGE part of my life!! The relationships with students/coworkers/parents over the years was a Joy in my life. Due to health issues that now keep me from working I have been battling extreme depression and anxiety from missing doing what was to me a calling. it is hard to be here asking for help, those who know me know I'm very independent and hard-working however, at the beginning of the school year some traumatic events happened and I had to go on medical leave after I was hospitalized had to have emergency surgery the end of December to correct 90% spinal cord impingement in my neck. I need my left hip replaced however my shoulders both needed to have surgery which happened six weeks apart from each other which is rare but I was healing well and my doctor knows I needed to get my hip done soon, hip surgery is scheduled September 28. Hopefully there's a cancellation and I can get in sooner because I cannot walk most days. My lower back also had a surgery a few yrs back, that is now moving each time I do so both the hip and lower back surgeries are still ahead of me. I have not been able to work since August and have doing my best to keep a roof over mine and my children's head and pay my bills. However, I cannot do it anymore. I've been out of work for 10 months I had to file for disability that might take up to a year And if I lose my house, I have no idea where we will live, because paying rent somewhere else would cost more money. I also physically cannot pack up and move right now on top of that are tens of thousands of medical bills. I have always been someone people consider strong, so asking for help can make me feel weak. However, I now know that that's not always the case I have two beautiful children to provide for and my health has to be the priority so I'm trying to take care of both. I just came home from the Cath Lab where they were checking my renal arteries. My blood pressure has been uncontrolled, and they think I have a rare arterial disease. If you can help with any amount it would be appreciated. I have to pay to have cobra health insurance, with no income and am just completely lost on how to pay things when physically I cannot work right now, and in the next year or more with future surgeries. There has been many other things along the way, but I don't want to bore you and I definitely have heard 'wow you have a lot going on' so I know and again it's extremely hard to ask but if there's anything you can do to help me and my boys it would be much much much appreciated.
