I'll cut to the chase. At the river some assholes tossed firecrackers and scared Charlie. he ran into a train to escape and needs immediate medical attention. Anything helps. Please help us save this wonderful little guy! Update: Thank you so much for your generosity on helping save this pup! ❤️ Charlie is currently going to RAPS in Richmond from Maple Ridge on the daily for pain management and wound care monitoring his front paw which is still a concern and changing his bandages regularly. His healing is looking great and he's more alert and with help going pee outside. He no longer has a catheter or IV port. Yay! Thank you again for your donations! Here's Charlie in transit from his medical appointment yesterday. Update: Charlie has undergone surgery and had his hind leg removed along with a digit removed on his front paw with some pad reconstruction. The damage to his front leg is the most of concern right now as it takes longer to heal along with a high risk of infection in the area, as well as the complications that can arise with bacteria from the train hit. Charlie is currently on a strict bed rest to not have much pressure put on that front paw. He's been such a trooper with all of this yet his road to recovery is expected to be a long one.
