Hi my name is Jessica my son cayson is 2 years old he was having fever for a week and got blood work done and his white blood cell count and platelet count are low doctors have no idea what is wrong with him or why he is having fevers for so many days he is currently getting a biopsy done of his bone marrow to check for leukemia and other cancers any funds will go to him and for his family since I’m a single mom and will be out of work while he is in the hospital will give updates as I get them Update: Cayson had to get a bone marrow biopsy yesterday haven’t got results back from that yet His hemoglobin and platelets blood counts are still low they will be doing a blood transfusion today His white blood cell count is still low they have tested for many types of infections and all have came back negative so still playing the waiting game to get answers Update: we got the biopsy results back Cayson tested positive for acute lymphoblastic leukemia He will have blood transfusions of red blood cells today and transfusions of platelets tomorrow and will go through a minor surgery to get the portacath out in for chemo And he will start chemo on Tuesday Since I will be not working during this time we need all your help with support for our family anything will help us Please keep us in your prayers Update 7/31/23 Cayson had surgery to get his portacath put in And he also had his spinal fluid tested to check for cancer cells in his fluid and got his first round of chemo We haven’t got the result back from the spinal fluid feeling positive that there isn’t any cancer cells in it Talked with his oncologist today about is treatment plan he starts day one of his chemo treatment tomorrow and will get another round in 4 days then get I once a week for a month and by the end of the month we will do a biopsy of hos bone marrow to see where we are at and if we will need to do another round of chemo We are hopeful for a amazing solution for our sweet boy ! This has been the hardest 4 days that I have ever been through being away from my oldest son (he’s 4) and him not really understanding why mommy and his baby brother have to stay here So keep the prayers coming and everyone has been amazing with the amount of support and prayers we have received We appreciate ever dollar and share that we have got and words can’t express how much it means to us ! I will keep updates as they come Any money donated will go directly to monthly bills daily living expenses and any medical expenses we may have I will be not working during this to be with cayson with the hardest thing he will ever have to go through and being just turned 2 years old no little one should have to go through this so he needs his family ! Nothing is too little We are so so thankful for everyone who takes the time to read his and story and share it with the world Cayson is the most entertaining 2 year olds you would ever meet you just look at him and he just smiles at you to make you laugh Update 8/2/23: Cayson got his first round of chemo yesterday it went pretty well doesn’t have much of a appetite just been eating a few bites of things His blood work from yesterday his white blood count was 2.7 And the results from his blood work from this morning his white blood count came back at 1.7 which is much lower then yesterday Keep all the prayers coming we definitely need them heavy today ! 08/10/23 We got discharged from the hospital on 08/08/23 the day he came home he was doing okay and yesterday august 9th he starting throwing up and was having diarrhea and today it was worse and mostly just laid down for a hold of his dr and we are gonna bring him back to the hospital to get fluids and he might need another blood transfusion! We needs some prayers and any donations will help us so much right now especially since I’m out of work to get him through this treatment Being a single mom and the only provider for my boys anything will help Will keep everyone updated tomorrow 8/13/23 Cayson as of Friday has been doing well he hasn’t thrown up since Thursday and has been eating and drinking well he’s still kinda laying around pretty tired all the time lately He goes back Tuesday for another chemo infusion ! Keep prayers coming and any donations will help our family all donations will be going to bills and has to get him back and forth to his hospital appointments Update : 08/24/21 Had to take cayson to the ER at the children’s hospital he has swelling in his feet stomach and face they believe he might have kidney disease bring a urine sample on Monday to test for that Keep my sweet boy in your prayers! Any donations will help us out for gas and food and bills during this time Update 9/25 Been awhile since I updated everyone Cayson got off steroids beginning of this month and the swelling has subsided since then he just got done with his 2 round of chemo He starts his next round in the phase of treatment next week and he will have chemo infusions once a week for 2 months So far he is doing well Keep prayers coming for my sweet boy he still has a long road ahead of him 12/3/23 Cayson just went through 2 months of chemo treatments he had missed 3 chemo infusions because of numbers were low he was able to get his last 2 chemo infusions we meet with his oncologist to go over the next steps in his treatments we still have a long road ahead of us ! So keep prayers coming and donate if you are able to thank you ! 1/1/24 Cayson was admitted in the hospital on 12/29/23 he was having high fevers fighting some type of infection His blood counts and immune system number are severely low and every test they did for a vital infection have came back negative he started eating and drinking yesterday but still can’t go home with his numbers not improving We are on day 4 and gonna test his numbers again in the morning ! 1/4/24 After 5 days they let cayson go home on antibiotics his neutrophil number weren’t what they should be but they were slowly rising so let us go home and going back on 1/5 for blood work to check his levels
