Hello family & friends! I wanted to provide you with a life update and an opportunity to partner with me! Over the last few weeks, I’ve sought the Lord for clear instructions for this next chapter of my life. I know what He's calling me to, missions, but I haven’t had clear direction on my next steps. During this time of prayer, God has been stirring my heart and bringing back to life some dreams and desires I've let slip away. One dream, in particular, has been to attend the Iris Harvest School of Missions. This school is part of Iris Global's Ministry, founded by Heidi & Rolland Baker. If you’ve known me for any time, you know that Heidi Baker is one of my heroes of faith and I love the ministry that Iris Global does with children and “the least of these” throughout the world. Though I’ve wanted to attend this school for years, the timing hadn’t felt right, until now… After much prayer and wrestling back and forth with faith and doubt, I’ve decided to take a leap of faith and follow the Lord's direction to attend Harvest School. Though it is a BIG leap of faith, that seems to be on track for me this year in following the Lord’s voice! I’m excited to report that my application was approved and I've been accepted into the Iris Harvest School of Missions! The School & Mission Harvest School is a Spirit-filled hands-on missions school that trains, equips, and sends out radical lovers of Jesus to the ends of the earth. Teams from past schools have shared incredible reports - many salvations, the blind could see, the deaf could hear, the lame walked, the dead were raised, food was multiplied, diseases were healed, and many were delivered from spiritual oppression. The school is an eight-week program that will take place in Israel, South Africa, and Mozambique. There will be opportunities at the end of the eight-week school/ mission to take part in extended outreaches at one of their various global mission bases for another three weeks. In addition, attending Harvest School would open opportunities for me to do short or long-term missions with Iris Global. (my dream!) Harvest School begins at the end of September and runs through the start of December . Extended outreach takes place directly after graduation for an additional three weeks. (due before the trip starts) Now you can see that when I said a leap of faith, I meant a LEAP! However, I know that where the Lord leads He provides! My faith is entirely in Him and HIS ability to bring His will to pass for my life. If I could make it happen or figure it out on my own, it would not be faith! I share all this with you to ask for prayers as I follow the Lord! I am also actively searching for temporary jobs to help me reach my fundraising goal, so if you or someone you know is looking for someone to help with a project or clerical work, or looking for a dog sitter or babysitter, etc., please let me know! (I will be available until mid-September). I feel strongly the Lord is calling me to go, so I will do whatever I can to help make it happen!... but it will definitely take the Lord to make this all possible!
