Hi, My name is John Stewart, and I am organizing this LFEBridge campaign on behalf of my dear friend, Carson Loring. Carson has been battling cancer for over three years now. Diagnosed in late 2019 with melanoma from a mole that went undetected on the right side of his scalp, he has been fighting unwaveringly ever since. Carson’s treatment regimen has been difficult. After his first major surgery in early 2024 to remove surrounding skin and 3 lymph nodes, a 1.99 mm tumor was found on one lymph node. Two treatments of drug Keytruda induced a six month-long liver inflammation (hepatitis), which greatly impeded his ability to fight the cancer. As a result, a less intensive drug regimen for 2024 and 2024 was advised and kept the cancer at bay for a time. Carson returned to the University of Kentucky where he was studying philosophy. He was happy to be back at school full-time and to continue on with his life. Unfortunately, in May 2024 the cancer recurred, spreading to his brain, neck and lung. Doctors have given the go-ahead for a full scale Ipilimumab and nivolumab regimen to GET AFTER IT. This is where Carson needs your help. Out-of-pocket medical expenses and insurance premiums are piling up for the Loring family. Carson’s father was also recently diagnosed with MS, and can no longer provide at the level needed for their single parent household. Carson’s education at University of Kentucky has been put on pause as he wages this battle with cancer – but he has such high hopes and aspirations for his future. Any support that you can give to help Carson in this fight with cancer will be forever appreciated. Pictured above is Carson after surgery. Also pictured is Carson with his dad, David, and his brother, Nolan. Thank you for helping Carson!
