Every year Camelot West Family Services collects monetary donations to purchase stuffed animals that Santa and Mrs. Claus delivers to the Pediatric Oncology Wards at Sinai and Johns Hopkins Hospitals. We started this fundraiser back in 2001 when we met a very brave 10 years old who was fighting T-cell Leukemia for the second time and his family. Christmas is usually the last thing on a parent's mind when your child is in the hospital for treatments. This young man, now in his 30s, kept every stuffed animal he received from Camelot West and every good memory from that time. Santa visiting a child in the hospital helps not only raise the spirit of the child, it helps in their recovery, and it also gives some comfort to the families at a time of fear and uncertainty. Won't you help be a part of that Holiday Magic? Make a donation today or contact us to find out more about becoming part of Santa's Team.
