You have cancer!! No one wants to hear those words. However, these were the words that we heard just two weeks ago. After 1 chemotherapy treatment, our beloved father, Calvin Holmes, Sr. unexpectedly past away from lung cancer on October 21, 2015. We, the family, are deeply grieving our loss as one might expect. However, we were dealt another unexpected blow when we learned that our father’s insurance policy had expired. Now we are dealing with the grief of our loss and the exorbitant funeral expenses. Calvin Holmes, Sr. was a loving, devoted husband, father, uncle, brother, friend, and all around great human being.
